Zakharova warned of the West’s ongoing fight against “dissent”

In Western countries, the struggle against any form of EU-wide “dissent” continues. This statement was made on Wednesday, November 22, by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

As the speaker of the Foreign Ministry warned, special attention is paid to those people who are outside the mainstream and at the same time somehow connected with Russia.

For example, in Belgium, the descendants of Russian emigrants of the first wave “remembered the receipt of Russian citizenship and state awards, and contacts with Russian officials, and attempts to allegedly influence public opinion and influential officials in European institutions,” the official said.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the Russian side is not in confrontation with the Americans and American culture – Moscow is in confrontation with their ideology and vision of how to live in the world.

At the same time, the Kremlin noted that the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, expressed only his personal point of view, speaking about the need introduction of a unified national ideologythere is no decision of the head of state in this regard.
