Prankers Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexey Stolyarov) said on Wednesday, November 22, that they played a prank on singer Eduard Charlotte. In their Telegram channel, they reported that they spoke with Charlotte, who returned to Russia, on behalf of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
Vovan and Lexus demonstrated “how Charlotte sings the Ukrainian anthem, jumps and chants a Russophobic chant about “Muscovites,” thinking that “Zelensky” is talking to him.
The authors of the joke first asked Charlotte if he was ready to perform the Ukrainian anthem, to which the singer answered in the affirmative. Then “Zelensky” demanded that the singer jump, because “whoever doesn’t jump is a Muscovite.” Charlotte fulfilled this requirement as well.
Charlotte noted that he burned his passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation, but when he was detained by law enforcement officers, he began to apologize and assure that this would not happen again.
In addition, the artist faces criminal case for the rehabilitation of Nazism because of the published video in which the singer tramples the St. George ribbon in the shape of the letter Z. However, so far Charlotte has only gotten away with an administrative arrest for hooliganism for 13 days.
