Zakharova: US and Germany caught lying about Nord Stream explosions

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that by throwing the same versions of the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, the United States and Germany “absolutely slept” on a lie.
“The worst thing is that they absolutely burned out, throwing it in both American and German publications,” Zakharova said on the air of the Antifake program. In her opinion, the fakes about the explosions of gas pipelines were needed by the American and German authorities to divert attention from the investigative article by journalist Seymour Hersh.
The spokesperson added that Hershom had done “a lot of work” and that the American and German publications were “a lot of small ones and they contradict each other.”
February 8 Hersh published investigation of the Nord Stream incident, in which he accused the United States and Norway of being involved in the bombing. The White House and the European Commission called this information unreliable.
Later, on March 7, The New York Times reported on the emergence of new US intelligence data, which refers to the involvement of a “pro-Ukrainian group” in sabotage at Nord Stream. At the same time, the German Die Zeit, citing the German investigation, stated that a Ukrainian ship, on which traces of explosives were found, could be involved in the sabotage.
Kremlin doubted in the involvement of pro-Ukrainian forces in undermining the Nord Streams and called such reports a “coordinated stuffing.”
The Russian authorities have repeatedly called for an international investigation into the incident involving Russian representatives and pointed to the West’s reluctance to transparently investigate the pipeline case. On March 24, Denmark invited Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator, to take part in the operation to extract an object discovered near Nord Stream 2, the Kremlin has decided called “positive news”.
