Zakharova turned to Guterres with a question about the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station: “what was done”
The speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia, Maria Zakharova, turned to UN Secretary General Antoniu Geterreg with a question about what the organization had done to prevent Kiev’s plans to destroy the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
She stressed that the Russian side had repeatedly warned about these consequences.
“On October 21, 2022, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya sent a letter to the UN Secretary General about the plans of the Kyiv regime to destroy the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. A question to the UN Secretary General: what was done?” Zakharova asked a question on her Telegram channel, also attaching a snapshot of the letter.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that Moscow rejects all statements by the Ukrainian side about involvement in the undermining of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
