The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, in a publication on her Telegram channel, commented on the statement that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made in an interview with the American television channel CNN.
Zakharova quoted Zelensky, who said that the country’s authorities “cannot imagine Ukraine without Crimea.” According to the Ukrainian leader, as long as Crimea remains under Russian control, the conflict will not be over.
As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, Zelensky imagined “Crimea without water” for many years, and now he imagines it “even without Crimeans.” Zakharova concluded that this manifested “the Nazi essence of the Kyiv Napoleon”.
