Zakharova called the fining of Latvians for publications about May 9 “blasphemous action”
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called it “another blasphemous act” to bring Latvians to administrative responsibility for publications about May 9.
“The actions of the authorities cannot be called anything other than another blasphemous action that reminded us of Latvia as a country that not only praises Nazism and disputes the results of World War II, but also makes fierce attempts to black out the memory of the Great Victory,” the diplomat commented, published on the website of the diplomatic mission.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the Latvian authorities have long lost the norms of morality due to the Russophobia spreading in the country.
