Yuzhnouralsk volleyball players for the first time in seven years reached the playoffs of the championship of Russia

In its 50th anniversary season, the Dinamo-Metar club will play in the playoffs of the national championship. What contributed to this and which athletes stood out this year, at an open training session of a sports team, the correspondent understood “Evening Chelyabinsk“.

The season started off with a bang. For the first time in 25 years, local volleyball players reached the Final Four. The girls won bronze medals, losing to stronger rivals from Dynamo Moscow and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

The development of the team and the growth of skills on the floor are associated with coach Alexander Koshkin. For the second season in a row, it is distinguished by both sports fans and experts from the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.

This season, we did a lot of work with the highest athlete of the club, Daria Malygina. The coach moved the girl from the diagonal position, where she played last season, to the central blocker. The results are already visible. Daria is the best in the league in terms of performance. The girl hit 120 balls.

Also, success this season came to the team and thanks to the reinforcement. In the off-season, Dynamo-Metar was joined by captain Olga Efimova, players Olga Biryukova and Angelina Sperskaite, diagonal Zhanna Kaskova.

Now the athletes are preparing for the last game of the regular championship of Russia. They will carry it out against Tulitsa. After that, the starting position of the South Urals team in the playoffs and the first opponent will become clear – Leningradka from St. Petersburg or Ak Bars from Kazan.
