STS hosted the final of the large-scale sports and entertainment show Superninja, all episodes of which were watched by 50 million people. The main prize – 5 million rubles – and the title of “Super Ninja” were given to the silver medalist of the world championship in obstacle racing Yuri Prokudin. An 18-year-old student from Reutov left behind 174 participants who dreamed of conquering the most difficult obstacle course in the world.
“I dreamed of winning such a project for five years – I have been doing this sport for so many years,” he admitted. – It means a lot to me, because a year ago I had an offensive fall at the Russian Ninja, which only motivated me to train even more. And in the Super Ninja show, I was already going to win.”
Yuri Prokudin — one of the strongest athletes in the country in the discipline of “ninja”, a member of the Russian national team in racing with obstacles. Last year, he became the best in the country at the Obstacle Racing Championship, and then took silver at the World Championship.
A student from Reutov will spend a prize of 5 million rubles on buying housing, traveling and developing the “ninja” direction: Yuri, together with his father and brothers, holds children’s competitions.
On the way to victory, Yuri and other athletes in the first season were supported by the hosts: video blogger Dmitry Maslennikov, captain of the CSKA rugby club Vasily Artemyev and actress and singer Valeria Astapova. Participants from all over the country were waiting for an incredible attraction of obstacles, which has no analogue in the world. The unique track, consisting of two lanes of 100 meters each, was assembled from fragments brought on 35 trucks. It took six months to develop the structure, and three weeks to install it. The design included 1,374 lighting fixtures and 400 square meters of LED screens.
Filming took place in Mineralnye Vody, where athletes from Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk, Samara, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Moscow, Ufa, Stavropol and other cities arrived. Star heroes also conquered the most difficult obstacle course, including Olympic champion and three-time world champion in artistic gymnastics Artur Dalaloyan, Olympic champion in figure skating Yekaterina Bobrova, musician Yegor Ship, bloggers Son Leo and Mukhammat Bittuev, as well as star fitness trainer Alexander Sabanin .
