Yuri Antonov could not be saved by Chinese healers: the musician spoke about his health

Yuri Antonov has been leading a closed lifestyle for a long time. He rarely goes on stage, preferring to spend most of his time in his country estate. The legendary composer has been suffering from pain in his leg for a long time. Antonov underwent a number of operations, but he still cannot get rid of the discomfort. During a conversation with MK correspondents, he frankly spoke about his problem, and also expressed his attitude towards the departed artists.

– Yuri Mikhailovich, what are your plans for the summer?

– There are no plans. Everything always happens spontaneously for me, and even more so now, when not everything is always in order with health. Summer is slowly coming, but so far I do not plan anything. We’ll see how it goes.

– I understand that you are still worried about pain in your leg?

– Yes. It’s hard to say which is better. The pain doesn’t go away. I understand that it takes a very long time for it to pass. As long as it hurts, of course.

– The Chinese healer you turned to for help did not help?

“He could have helped, but he didn’t have the drug I needed with him. He didn’t bring it because he didn’t expect me to come. I found out about him by accident. My friends who were in Dubai said that there is such a person. I immediately got on the plane and there. I met with him, he understood the cause of the pain. “I need a powder, and it is in China,” he said. But this healer does not come to Russia and has never come. Apparently, he is not interested here. And in Dubai, the money is big. Here, they fly there, like flies on cutlets, and fly.

– Yuri Mikhailovich, what pleases and upsets you now?

– Upset moments of my life associated with the leg. And everything else pleases. My homestead, for example. My animals. I spend the whole day there, I almost never go to Moscow. What should I do? Stand in traffic jams? I love good restaurants, but I have enough people who cook delicious food. So I spend all day at home.

Do you take care of the animals yourself?

— I have many animals, so there are helpers. My animals are in free flight: they all run, jump, fly. Not everyone, however, is friendly with each other. Therefore, we have a regulation on who walks and when. Dogs at one time, all the rest at another.

– You said that you have a dream. In one of the shelters they found a copy of their dead dog and really wanted to take it for themselves. Managed?

– Unfortunately no. This dog was not in Moscow, but in Krasnodar. And there was a big problem, how to take her. We were unable to resolve this issue. So I abandoned this idea.

– How is your day going?

– If there are no performances and other work, then I take care of the estate. There are always things to do. It broke here, it fell off there – it needs to be repaired, repaired. I’m watching TV. There are programs that I like. For example, political talk shows. I watch them in order to keep abreast of events taking place in the world. Not only because of the presenter, but in order to see 7-8 experts who participate there. Among them there are those who I like, there are those who are less to my liking. I’m interested in hearing what they have to say. They are objective people. They talk about things I don’t know. But I do not only watch political programs, but also music ones.

– Which of the performers pleases?

— I watch my old favorites more. Take Paul McCartney, for example. I love old pop and rock bands. My favorite band was Foreigner. It probably still exists. I do not know exactly.

– Yuri Mikhailovich, what do you think about the departed artists?

– Do not look for a person in me who will wave a saber left and right. I don’t even want to comment on them. They left and left. It’s their business. They have their own head on their shoulders, let them be responsible for their own actions.
