She finds her solace in music and songs, and true poets never die. Nikolai Nikolaevich is alive as long as his songs are sung and remembered.
“Alexandra Nikolaevna is now in a rest home,” the singer continues. “I told her that I had just returned from our beloved city of Yaroslavl, where I gave a charity concert entirely consisting of songs by Pakhmutova and Dobronravov. It was a very difficult performance: in the hall there were only mothers and wives whose children and sons are in the Northwestern Military District zone. We sang Pakhmutova’s songs and they gave all the spectators hope and faith in the best. Today Alexandra Nikolaevna saw in the recording how the whole hall sang their songs in chorus. And let it make her feel lighter and easier!
