The artist came to the funeral wearing dark glasses. When he began to speak, it became clear that Julian was very upset.
Having said goodbye to Dobronravov, Julian went straight to his widow Alexandra Pakhmutova. It was clear that Alexandra Nikolaevna was glad to see him. The composer took the artist’s hand and began to talk to him.

“What did you talk about with Pakhmutova?” – we asked Julian on the way out.
“Alexandra Nikolaevna told me: “Thank you, Yulichka, for coming. I love you very much.” And I told her: “Hold on, Alexandra Nikolaevna. The ring will always live, because poets do not die. And you must hold on for our sake.” I also swore to her that I would sing his songs until the end of my days.”
Nikolai Dobronravov died in one of the capital’s hospitals. The poet found his last refuge at the Novodevichy cemetery in the capital.
