YouTube tests AI video annotations – Kommersant
[ad_1]
YouTube video service tests a new feature whereby artificial intelligence will automatically add descriptions to videos. Users will be able to see AI annotations on video pages and searches, including tutorial videos, blogs, and shopping channels.
YouTube says the new feature will help users decide whether they want to watch the video. AI annotations are not intended to replace descriptions from video authors. Annotations are currently generated for a limited number of English speaking users and are only shown to some YouTube users.
Formerly YouTube raised Premium subscription price up to $13.99 per month and up to $139.99 per year. YouTube Music standalone music streaming has increased to $10.99 per month. Also video service tests a new feature that will allow equalizing audio in videos on the platform.
