YouTube blocked the channel of the Russian news agency Ura.ru for a video about referendums in Donbass
Russian news agency Ura.ru reported on Saturday that YouTube blocked his channel.
As follows from the explanations of the channel’s editor Mikhail Titov, the reason for the blocking was videos about referendums in the annexed territories of the Russian Federation.
“We received the first strike on May 3 for last year’s video with a statement from the administration of the Kherson region about holding a referendum on joining the Russian Federation,” Titov said.
The second, according to him, on May 12, “for a video with a story about what will change in the LPR and DPR after the accession referendums.” The editor said that “there were no hard shots or appeals, only statements by officials and facts.”
The agency’s YouTube page states that “the account has been suspended for violating the YouTube Community Guidelines.”
The channel had 85 thousand subscribers, Titov said that the agency had already created a new channel on video hosting.
