Young wrestlers from Yakutia will perform at the All-Russian tournament in Nalchik

Athletes from the Yakutia national team will be represented at the All-Russian freestyle wrestling tournament among junior youths in memory of the Balkarian poet and educator Kazim Mechiev. More than 30 young wrestlers were selected for the team.
Every year hundreds of young wrestlers from all over Russia compete at this tournament, and last year their number exceeded 400 people. The Yakutia national team included 34 athletes, most of whom will compete in the weight categories up to 48 and 52 kg. Participants in the competition are no older than 16 years old, so among them there may be young athletes who will become participants in the international sports Games “Children of Asia”, which will be held in Yakutsk next year. The Kazim Mechiev tournament will begin in Nalchik on November 13.
