Young Vologda girls entered the top five at international wushu competitions

The international competition “Moscow Wushu Stars – 2024” was held in Moscow from February 28 to March 5. More than a thousand athletes took part. Representatives of China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, India, Egypt, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Afghanistan performed together with Russian athletes. Young wushu players from Vologda were able to show decent results in certain events. They ended up in fifth place.
In the category of cadets 12-14 years old, the regional capital was represented by Lidia Tikhonova and Milana Angel. Both girls were among the top five athletes. Lydia is only 11 years old, but the athlete was able to take fifth place in the Taoshu category. Milana showed her best results in traditional events.
