Young snowboarders from Nadym and Labytnangi overcome a 300-meter obstacle course

The first stage of municipal snowboarding competitions took place on February 3 in Nadym. Young athletes competed; participants from the Labytnang sports school came to the city. The results were published by the Nadym sports school “Arktur”.

“On February 3, on the training slope of the Arcturus secondary school, municipal snowboarding competitions in the Nadym region took place in the snowboard cross discipline. Athletes from the Arcturus secondary school, the Tatyana Akhatova secondary school and the regional sports public organization “Federation of Extreme Sports” took part in the event,” the statement says.

The length of the track was 300 meters, there were springboards, turns and yutangs. The participants strived to reach the finish line, overtaking their opponents and not missing a single obstacle. In the finals there will be descents of two to four people, reports “TRK Nadym”.

About 40 young athletes aged ten years and older took part. According to the Nadym sports school “Arktur”, participants from Labytnangi won two gold, three silver and two bronze medals. Snowboarders from Nadym have four golds, three silvers and three bronzes.
