In Bryansk, the championship of the Central Federal District in classical chess, rapid and blitz, as well as in solving chess compositions among boys and girls under 11 years old, 13 years old, boys and girls up to 15 years old, 17 years old, 19 years old, has ended. 290 athletes from 17 regions of the Central Federal District found out which of them plays chess better.
The Smolensk region was represented by 14 people. The best result in classical chess and promotion to the top league of the Russian Championship in 2023 was won by:
Vice-champion of the Central Federal District among boys under 11 Egor Tochilin! He took 2nd place with 7 points out of 9 possible.
Taisiya Rashevskaya, who scored 5.5 points out of 9 possible. She took 4th place among girls under 13 years old.
Alexander Volodin, who scored 6.5 points out of 9 possible, and took 4th place among boys under 15!
The rest of the Smolensk players were in the TOP-25 of the strongest chess players in the Central Federal District in their age groups.
In the children’s and youth championship of the Central Federal District, Aleksey Mysyakin took second place among boys under 11 years old by solving chess compositions, Vera Zhuchkova took third place among girls under 17 years old.
Alexander Volodin showed the best result in rapid. He scored 6.5 points out of 9 possible and took 3rd place!
