Young Kalmyk athletes returned with awards from Astrakhan

Athletes from Kalmykia successfully performed at the 53rd regional Nachalovsky athletics race in Astrakhan.
It was dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. Over 700 people from ten to 70 years old took part in the competition. Among them, more than 300 pupils of general education and sports schools, universities, and colleges of the Astrakhan region, Kalmykia and Kazakhstan competed.
At a distance of 1000 meters among girls born in 2013-2014, Ariadna Belyakova from Kalmykia won with a result of 3 minutes 46 seconds. And third place in this race was taken by another athlete from the republic, Tatyana Kokueva. Bronze medals in their categories were won by Sergei Seleznev, Arseniy Sabelnikov and Manolis Yakimets. All the guys train at the Republican Youth Sports School of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
