In Batumi, at the World Youth Chess Championship, athletes from the Ufa SC “Tolpar” showed excellent results, taking first and third places.
The Republic was represented by Ural Khasanov and Leyla Tabermakova. The young man won the title of world champion among athletes under 18 years old, and Leila became the third among girls under 14 years old.
The girl scored 34 points, losing second place to another Russian Victoria Kharitonova. In blitz, the girl took fourth place, showing the highest result among Russian chess players. Thanks to this, the young athlete improved her international rating by 80 points at once.
