Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov said that participants in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum (SPIEF), which starts this week, must first pass a PCR test to be admitted to the event venues.
“The coronavirus infection has not yet been defeated. Anti-epidemic measures are provided for at all stages of the preparation and holding of SPIEF. They are still obligatory for all participants, guests and service personnel,” said Mr. Beglov. “RIA News”.
According to him, for admission to the forum sites, not just a negative PCR test result will be needed, but the result obtained at “points specially designed for forum participants.” The Governor clarified that the forum leadership has retained the vaccination requirements for SPIEF technical staff and volunteers: only those who have been vaccinated against coronavirus will be able to work at the event.
In this case, the mandatory mask mode on the forum will not work. “In accordance with the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, participants and guests are not required to wear protective masks this year during the preparation and holding of SPIEF,” Alexander Beglov added.
SPIEF 2023 will be held in St. Petersburg from 14 to 17 June. The forum organizers expect that the number of participants in the event will be comparable to last year, when SPIEF was attended by more than 14,000 guests from 130 countries.
