Ynet: The IDF faced the war in the deepest crisis

The war has caught the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in one of the biggest crises in its history, if not the most serious, reports the Israeli news resource Ynet.
As noted, in addition to the heated political disputes surrounding the financing of the army, its personnel composition has also deteriorated: highly qualified officers have been abandoned, and young people lack motivation. The country has been discussing military pensions for a long time, rather than measures to combat critical threats.
“We may face a difficult and lengthy campaign on several fronts, coupled with internal problems, today we need determination and a strong reserve… Israel must continue to strengthen its security and modernize its army to adapt to the demands of future conflicts. We need advanced technological capabilities, as well as a sufficient number of highly qualified specialists,” said former Deputy Chief of Staff Colonel Eyal Zamir.
