YNAO esportsmen will compete for a prize fund of more than half a million rubles

On Yamal, cybersportsmen will get more than 500 thousand rubles – such a prize fund will be at the championship “Yamal Soil”. This was reported to the correspondent of “MK Yamal” by a source close to the organizers of the event.
According to our interlocutor, the Soil budget will be “noticeably larger than in previous competitions, but not a multiple of that amount.” In previous competitions, the budget was exactly half a million rubles.
On the page “Yamal Soil” there is no information about the prize fund on VKontakte, but it is indicated that the first qualifying rounds will be held on December 15th. Without fail, the tournament will host championships in Dota 2, CS:GO and FIFA games, but other disciplines will be added, for which community subscribers are now voting. There will be six disciplines in total.
One of the organizers of the tournament Alexander Sobchuk told us that the final prize fund is still unknown, but it is already clear that there will be at least 822 participants in the tournament (versus 800 last year). In team disciplines, the participation of “legionnaires” from other regions is allowed, although this is a very conditional measure – the championship itself is aimed at rallying Yamal gamers and cybersportsmen, but “legionnaires” may also be people with Yamal roots who grew up here, but left to study in another region.
