Yevgeny Prigozhin initiated the introduction of a ban for officials to leave Russia

Businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin said he was in favor of banning Russian officials from leaving the country. The statement was made in response to a request from journalists to comment on the reaction of Prigozhin, who sought to remove Igor Pushkarev from his post as director of the Museum of the History of Yekaterinburg for false information about the Wagner PMC, to the fact that he had not yet been fired.

“There is a good proverb in Rus’: Spring will come, let’s see who spoiled where,” the press service of the Concord company quotes Prigozhin’s answer. He added that while “ordinary Russian peasants are defending their homeland and are dying in the war,” representatives of various regional authorities are “fattening.”

“My lawyers are currently discussing with representatives of the legislative bodies a mechanism for prohibiting officials of all levels not only to leave the territory of the Russian Federation, but also to fatten,” Prigozhin emphasized.

The businessman added that, in his opinion, if such an initiative is adopted, “the number of officials will be reduced by at least half.”
