“Yellow” level of weather danger introduced in Moscow due to fog

In the capital region, an increased, “yellow” level of weather danger has been established. The Hydrometeorological Center of Russia warns residents of Moscow and the Moscow region about potentially dangerous weather due to fog.
The warning is valid from 22:00 Monday, September 11, until 9:00 Tuesday, September 12, follows from the forecast map on the official website of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation.
The Moscow Municipal Services Complex noted that visibility in fog could be reduced to 200-700 meters, which would complicate road traffic.
Motorists are urged to exercise extreme care and caution, as well as strictly adhere to the speed limit and distance when driving.
Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that warm and dry summer weather will linger in the Russian capital until September 14. On Friday, September 15, the temperature will drop to +15…+20, rain will begin, and next weekend, according to preliminary forecasts, will get significantly colder.
