Yaroslavl swimmers became the best in Russia

Natives of Rybinsk and pupils of the Rybinsk swimming school Alexander Stepanov and Kirill Belyaev became the best in the Russian Open Water Swimming Championship. Residents of the city on the Volga took first and second places in a 10 km swim.
The championship of Russia takes place in Rostov-on-Don. More than 100 marathon swimmers start the championship.
Alexander Stepanov took three gold medals during the championship – in 5, 10 km swims and as part of a team, in the 4×1250 m relay.
In addition to Alexander Stepanov, Daria Danilova, Arina Pantina and Kirill Belyaev took part in the relay race.
Kirill Belyaev also collected a good collection of awards – relay gold, silver in the 10 km swim and bronze in the 5 km swim.
“Bronze” in the mixed relay 4×1250 was also taken by the Yaroslavl team. It included Daria Nikiforova, Arseniy Gruzdev, Elizaveta Teplyakova, Nikita Khotko.
In the team standings, the Yaroslavl team nevertheless became the third, letting the teams of the Tula and Volgograd regions go ahead.
