Yaroslavich snatched victory from the leader of the Eastern Conference

Last weekend, the Yaroslavl volleyball club hosted the Lokomotiv-Izumrud team from Yekaterinburg on its field. This is a very strong club, which last season became a serious obstacle for Yaroslavich in the final, on the way to the Super League.
The Ural team won the first match with a score of 1:3 (25:23, 27:29, 23:25, 21:25). But Yaroslavich was able to carry out effective “work on mistakes” and by the second game day they found the key to the opponent’s defense.
In the re-match of the Final for 1-8 places of Major League A, the Yaroslavich volleyball club defeated Lokomotiv-Izumrud in a tiebreaker with a score of 3:2 (21:25, 25:19, 25:19, 20:25,15 :13).
The game went with varying degrees of success. Having lost the first set, Yaroslavich snatched victory in the second and third. But in the fourth the opponent still turned out to be stronger. In the deciding set, Lokomotiv initially took the lead. But then the opponents equalized the score.
At this moment, the Yaroslavl team was helped by a Cuban legionnaire. He came on as a substitute and was able to score three times in attack. The match ended in victory for Yaroslavich. 15-13 in the set and 3-2 in the match.
In the next round of the Final for 1-8 places of the Major League “A”, “Yaroslavich” will host the “University” team from Barnaul on March 2 and 3 at the Atlant sports complex.
