Yaroslavets swam the fastest 25 kilometers in open water

Yaroslavl swimmer Kirill Abrosimov took the main award of the All-Russian open water competitions. He won the 25 km swim.
A pupil of the Yaroslavl swimming school overcame the marathon distance in 4 hours 56 minutes and 6.22 seconds. It was the best result of the competition. He had previously won the 5000m swim at the same championship.
Kirill Abrosimov said that at a distance he was very cold. Therefore, he had to change the tactics of the struggle and become a leader from the very beginning. The distance presented another unpleasant surprise – a jellyfish “flew” in the athlete’s face, which burned the skin and slowed down a lot.
In addition to Abrosimov, 17 athletes from Yaroslavl and Rybinsk took part in open water swimming competitions. Many participants from our region won prizes at different distances.
Kirill Abrosimov said that his immediate plans are to rest. All summer he trained hard and did not have time to relax properly. In the near future, he plans to take a vacation with his wife.
