Yandex will launch a virtual assistant in Kazakhstan. Dmitry Masyuk, head of the search and advertising technologies business group at Yandex, told Vedomosti about this. By the end of 2023, the voice assistant in the Kazakh language will be available in Yandex Browser on computers, smartphones and in a mobile application, he specified.
In August, it became known that the co-founder of Yandex, Arkady Volozh, refers to himself on his own website Volozh.com as an Israeli entrepreneur born in the city of Guryev (now Atyrau) in Kazakhstan. Russia is mentioned as the country where Volozh lived and did business. At the same time, he circulated a letter in which he expressed his disagreement with the Russian special operation in Ukraine and explained his departure from the company. The entrepreneur clarified that he has not lived in Russia since 2014 and his story with Yandex ended in February 2022. Now he supports Russian engineers who left the country, the statement said.
