Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Chukotka topped the ranking for material well-being

According to a study conducted by RIA Novosti experts, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Chukotka and the Magadan Region at the end of 2021 became the leaders in the ranking among the regions of the Russian Federation in terms of material well-being. At the end of this rating were Tuva, Karachay-Cherkessia and Ingushetia.
The experts studied the cost of consumer goods, the volume of treasures, the number of families in the region that were able to purchase apartments, as well as the number of employees with a salary of over 60 thousand rubles a month.
It is emphasized that positive dynamics is recorded in many regions: the median per capita income of the population as a whole in the country in 2021 increased by 11% compared to the previous year.
However, the gap in the material situation of the population between the regions continues to widen.
