Yamal hand-to-hand fighters won medals at the All-Russian competitions

Pupils of the Krasnoselkup regional sports school became prize-winners of the All-Russian hand-to-hand combat competition, dedicated to the memory of Russian FSB officer Dmitry Minov. The municipal administration reports this.
Nikita Tonkin won first place in his weight and age category. Third place went to Mikhail Ulyanenko, Angelina Nifontova and Virginia Rokina. The guys are training with coach Vladislav Andreev.
By winning these competitions, Tonkin and Nifontova secured their participation in the national championship in hand-to-hand combat, which will be held in Astrakhan in May of this year.
Let us add that the competition took place in Chelyabinsk. 900 athletes from 25 Russian regions took part in them.
Earlier it was reported that in Salekhard, an 18-year-old racer won the competition on Reindeer Herder Day.
