For the Novy Urengoy volleyball club “Fakel” the fight in the qualifying round has begun. In the first match against an opponent from Sosnovy Bor, the Yamal athletes lost, as reported on March 21 on the website of VK Fakel.

It was precisely their cleaner play that helped Dynamo-LO win the first match of the qualifying round series. “Dynamo-LO” (Sosnovy Bor) – “Fakel” (Novy Urengoy) – 3:1 (25:23, 17:25, 26:24, 27:25),” the message says.

Now the series moves to Novy Urengoy, where the second match will take place on March 24. “Fakel” needs to win with a score of 3:1 or 3:0 in order to then compete in the “golden set.”
