Yamal archers became champions of Russia

The Russian Archery Championship was held in Orel from January 14 to 18. The team from Yamal won gold, the press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported.
429 shooters from 47 regions of Russia competed for the championship. The district team included Viktor Kalashnikov, Mark Rogov and Dmitry Starostin from Labytnangi. In the finals of the Compound Bow discipline, the northerners rose to the first step of the podium.
Athletes train at the Akhatova Olympic Reserve Sports School under the leadership of Badmazhap Tsybikov and Nikolai Dagbaev.
“We congratulate the athletes and their coaches on a brilliant victory,” the deportation office addressed the archers.
