On Friday, April 21, the final bouts of the European Sambo Championship took place in the city of Haifa (Israel). The honor of the Russian national team in the weight category up to 80 kg was defended by Polina Iudina, the press service of the TsSP “Triumph” reports.
In the final, the Yakut athlete lost to the experienced and strong athlete from Belarus Polina Gramatneva, the winner of the World Youth Championship, with a score of 1:2. The third place in this weight was won by the representatives of Moldova and the Netherlands.
Polina Iudina is also the silver medalist of the Russian championship of the last two years. Trains under the guidance of coaches Damdindorzh Gombodorzha and Nikiforova Nyurguyana. She is a pupil of the Nyurba Youth Sports School. The first coach is the Honored Coach of the RS(Y) Eduard Solovyov.
