Yakutia will host the Spartakiad in adaptive sports

In Yakutia, from July 5 to July 9, 2023, the XIV Spartakiad in adaptive sports of the republic “Dyuluur” will be held in the village of Amga. Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Mestnikov held a meeting of the organizing committee to check the preparations for the competition.
The event is held on the initiative of the head of the republic, Aisen Nikolaev, in order to develop adaptive sports and physical education and health work among people with disabilities.
To date, 26 teams have sent preliminary applications for participation from 36 districts. The preliminary number of participants is more than 1.4 thousand people, including more than 1.07 thousand athletes, 142 coaches, 188 representatives and accompanying persons.
The event is planned to involve about 150 volunteers from the Amginsky district aged 16 and over.
At the venues of sporting events, the Amga Central District Hospital will organize medical teams, sports doctors and doctors from Yakutsk will be involved.
Summing up the results of the meeting, Sergey Mestnikov instructed to approve the accommodation schemes and catering facilities by the end of May. Schemes of objects for certain types of competitions must be promptly submitted for approval.
The ministries were specifically instructed to work out the issue regarding cultural events, transport support, the organization of a volunteer corps and the preparation of facilities.
The program includes the following sports: sitting volleyball, athletics, checkers, table tennis.
