In the waters of the Northern Dvina, the regional sailing competition “Golden Autumn” was held (ORC cruising yachts)
Yachtsmen of Pomorye closed the season. The races were held with the aim of popularizing sailing in the Arkhangelsk region and improving the sportsmanship of yachtsmen.
The organizers of the competition were the regional center for sports training “Vodnik” (an institution subordinate to the regional ministry of sports) and the Sailing Federation of the Arkhangelsk region.
As the organizers of the competition noted, due to the weak wind, it was decided to walk the distance along the embankment of the Northern Dvina.
Results:
- 1st place – the yacht “Chance”;
- 2nd place – yacht “Mustang”;
- 3rd place – the yacht “Interloper”.
The competitions were held within the framework of the regional state program “Development of physical culture and sports in the Arkhangelsk region”.
After the season’s closing race, the yachts will be taken ashore and prepared for wintering, according to the region’s sports ministry.
