The American corporation Microsoft is testing a chatbot for the Xbox console, designed to automate and improve the work of the gamer support service. About it reports The Verge, citing sources inside the company.

The chatbot will be represented by an animated character and will be able to respond to text and voice requests from gamers, as well as issue refunds for games. The AI ​​will start the conversation with the phrase “How can I help you today?” and will tell you how to behave in the event of a breakdown, when signing up for a paid subscription, and in other cases.

In the future, the chatbot may also be used in tools for developers, with its help it will be possible to create game content and non-game characters, as well as test games. According to The Verge’s sources, developers are reluctant to talk about AI projects for Xbox, because they know that most gamers are skeptical about such functions.
