Wushu players from the Moscow region won 11 medals at the Russian Championship

Athletes from the Moscow region won 11 awards at the Russian championship among women, juniors, boys and girls. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports of the Moscow Region. Wushu players won two gold, four silver and five bronze medals.

“Gold” was received by Ekaterina Mineeva in the age category of 14-15 years (up to 48 kg) and Varvara Kozak in the category of 12-13 years (up to 52 kg) in the sanda discipline. Yaroslav Zhevlakov (up to 60 kg) and Polina Potanina (up to 52 kg) climbed to the second step of the podium. Bronze medals at the age of 12-13 years were won by Yakov Nazarov (up to 39 kg), Valentina Mayakova (up to 56 kg) and Maxim Bogatel (up to 65 kg). Also awarded bronze were Egor Ryabov in the category of 14-15 years (up to 70 kg) and Anastasia Tereshchenko in the category of 16-17 years (up to 52 kg), the source reports. Among women in the sanda discipline, second places went to Victoria Kryukova (up to 65 kg) and Mariam Kazumyan (up to 52 kg).

The Russian Wushu Championship was held at the Moscow Sports Palace. More than 1,000 athletes from 45 regions of the country took part in the competition.
