Wushu competitions were held in Ivanovo

On December 21, in Ivanovo, at the Palace of team sports, the Championship and Championship of the Ivanovo region in sports and traditional wushu, including the disciplines of taolu, kungfu, and sanda, were held.

The competition was attended by 7 teams, more than 130 wrestlers, including young ones from 6 to 18 years old. The Ivanovo region was represented by the cities of Ivanovo, Furmanov, Shuya. Also, athletes from the Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions came to the competition. According to one of the organizers of the competition, Chairman of the IGSOO “Federation” Alexander Sutormin, it is difficult to single out someone, each team of the Ivanovo region has strong athletes who excelled this year and showed excellent results in previous competitions. In individual competitions, the winners received diplomas and medals, in team competitions the result was marked by diplomas and cups. Within the framework of the Championship and the Championship, the standards were passed for confirmation and assignment of the junior and first categories. Based on the results of the competition, a combined team of the Ivanovo Region will be formed, which will defend the honor of the region at the Championship and Championship of the Central Federal District, which is tentatively planned in Voronezh in January-February 2023.

Team result in sports wushu – taolu:

• 1st place – IOFST team, Federation of Sports and Traditional Wushu, Ivanovo.
• 2nd place – the team of MBU secondary school No. 7, Ivanovo.
• 3rd place – the team of the club “Unity” Furmanov.

Team result in traditional wushu – kungfu:

• 1st place – team IOFST Federation of Sports and Traditional Wushu, Ivanovo.
• 2nd place – the team of MBU secondary school No. 7, Ivanovo.
• 3rd place – Nizhny Novgorod.

Recall that the previous competitions were held in 2019. In the following years, 2020 and 2021, the Championship and the Championship of the Ivanovo Region were held online due to restrictions.
