The Wall Street Journal published material referring to unnamed representatives of Ukrainian intelligence, which reports that at the beginning of the special operation, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, to have Chechen units occupy the government quarters of Kyiv and kill Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
The publication says that Vladimir Putin allegedly discussed the strategy for eliminating Zelensky with Ramzan Kadyrov three weeks before the start of the conflict.
The publication also recalls that in March of this year, Ramzan Kadyrov warned Zelensky on his Telegram channel that wherever he and those from his entourage went and wherever they hid, Chechen fighters would get to them.
The article also reports that on February 25, the best special forces of Chechnya in the amount of one and a half thousand people entered the territory of Ukraine in three columns of armored vehicles. When one of the columns got bogged down in the fighting on the outskirts of Kyiv, the others were forced to regroup. They failed to reach the government buildings.
Recently, rumors about the Ukrainian conflict, which previously circulated on the Web, are often published in the Western press. No confirmation of this information is usually given. Experts believe that Western journalists have to look for some stories on the Internet, since the Ukrainian army does not currently have any successes that they could write about.
