Balance: to build a new city in the Kherson region will be under the control of Kiriyenko

The administration of the President of the Russian Federation and its deputy head Sergei Kiriyenko will control the progress of construction in the Genichesk district of the Kherson region of the new city, Acting Governor of the region Vladimir Saldo said at a meeting with journalists on Sunday.

The fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the construction of a small city in the Genichesk district – on the Arabat Spit – was reported by Saldo earlier this week. Today in his Telegram channel he clarifiedthat the Russian government has already collected the initial data, the development of an integrated development project has begun.

“The implementation of the project will be controlled by the presidential administration and personally by the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko,” the acting head of the region said.

Saldo recalled that the construction site will be the Arabat Spit – “the pearl of the Kherson region with unique natural and recreational opportunities.” According to him, it is planned to build new quarters with views of the Sea of ​​Azov and the Sivash Bay with all the necessary infrastructure, schools and kindergartens, roads and utilities. The head of the Kherson region promised that conditions would also be created for organizing new jobs in the field of tourism, recreation and health improvement. Earlier, he noted that the region would soon “compete” with Mariupol in the speed of construction of new city blocks.

On October 19, Putin decided to introduce martial law in the DPR, LPR, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The head of state said that the heads of these regions would be given additional powers to ensure security. He clarified that their actions should be appropriate to the situation.

On November 9, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnieper after Sergei Surovikin, commander of the Joint Group of Russian Forces, made a report on the situation in the NVO zone. He explained this by the desire to save the lives of military personnel and the combat effectiveness of the troops, which he called “unpromising” to keep on the right bank, in a limited area. On November 11, the Ministry of Defense reported on the completion of the withdrawal of troops from Kherson, the city is now under the control of Ukraine.
