The Wall Street Journal cited Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov’s commentary on allegations by sources about allegedly “distorted” information that comes to Vladimir Putin about the special operation.
“The president, as before, receives information from various sources,” Peskov said.
The head of the Kremlin press service added that any allegations that the head of the Russian state receives false information are not true.
The article reported, citing unnamed sources, that every morning Vladimir Putin is given a written summary of the fighting in Ukraine that allegedly “emphasizes successes and downplays failures.” The sources also claimed that this information goes through several stages of coordination and therefore often turns out to be outdated.
