WSJ: humanity faces the second boom in Chinese imports in 20 years
Journalists from The Wall Street Journal suggested that humanity is facing a second boom in the import of cheap goods from China in 20 years.
The first wave of goods from China in the late 1990s and early 2000s was informally called the “Chinese shock,” the publication says. It occurred against the backdrop of liberal reforms in China.
Chinese factories produce consumer electronics, appliances and cars that the domestic market requires. The main difference between the expected new import boom will be that China is relying on the production of high-tech products.
