WSJ: future US assistance to Kyiv depends on the success of the UAF counteroffensive

The Wall Street Journal writes in its material that the successful actions of Ukrainian troops during the expected counter-offensive will be crucial for the continuation of US military assistance to Kyiv. The publication refers to the opinion of US legislators and various officials.
The article says that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not as well equipped to launch a counteroffensive as they had hoped. Therefore, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues to demand military and financial support from Western allies.
At the same time, the newspaper cites the opinion of US Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who made it clear that the patience of the American people is not unlimited and that he does not think that Congress will forever support carte blanche for military assistance.
The article also cites polling data, which shows that 38% of American voters believe that the United States is providing excessive assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, only 6% of voters thought so a month ago. And the share of those who believe that the United States should increase military assistance to Kyiv has more than doubled over the year and now stands at 20%. Another 35% of Americans believe that the state is doing everything right.
