Wrestlers of Buryatia brought 7 medals from the tournament of Mikhail Elbaskin

On Olkhon, from August 4 to 7, a freestyle and Buryat national wrestling tournament was held in memory of the first Buryat champion of the RSFSR in freestyle wrestling, Master of Sports of the USSR Mikhail Elbaskin. 250 wrestlers from the Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions, Krasnoyarsk and Zabaikalsky territories, the republics of Buryatia, Yakutia, Tyva and from Mongolia took part in the competition, the Ministry of Sports of Buryatia reports.
According to the results of the tournament, there were 7 awards in the standings of the Buryatia team. In weight up to 60 kg, Tsyrenzhapov Buyanto won a gold medal. Dylykov Buyanto took second place in the weight category up to 40 kg. Both wrestlers competed among youths.
Among men, the third places were won by Dondokov Baldan, Upkhoev Igor, Dugarzhapov Tsyren, Chimitov Aldar and Khabituev Stas.
The cup of the absolute champion in national wrestling was also played at the tournament. The winner among men was Yuri Ivanov, a native of the Osinsky district of the Irkutsk region, and among the boys, Ruslan Yurshin, a native of Baikalsk.
