Yamal residents won three awards at the All-Russian wrestling competitions, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported on October 9.
“The winners were Kirsan Erdniev and Gleb Kuprin in the weight categories up to 42 kg and up to 65 kg, respectively. The bronze medalist of the competition was Alexander Ochirov in the weight category up to 51 kg,” the department said.
The wrestlers train at the Purovsky regional sports school “Victoria” under the leadership of Araz Khalilov, Dmitry Ochirov and Elbrus Isabekov.
Competitions for the prizes of the Honored Master of Sports of Russia Alexander Tretyakov among boys under 18 years old were held in Perm. More than 250 athletes from 14 regions of Russia took part.
