The Washington Post newspaper published another material written in the wake of classified US intelligence documents that got into the Network, in which an assessment of the situation in Ukraine was given. In one of the documents, journalists found a mention of the results of wiretapping, which allegedly indicate that the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service believed that it had a deal with Beijing for military assistance.
As noted in the publication, citing an alleged US intelligence document, China allegedly approved the provision of lethal weapons to Russia at the beginning of this year. Military equipment was supposed to arrive under the guise of civilian items, the article claims.
Details of the wiretap through which US National Intelligence obtained this information were included in the February 23 report.
Journalists sent a request to the administration to Biden, and one of the officials, on condition of anonymity, said that the White House had not seen evidence that China had transferred weapons to Russia. A senior Pentagon official also agreed with this assessment.
Recall that earlier Moscow and Beijing have repeatedly refuted the statements of the American media and officials that China can provide military assistance to Russia.
