The Washington Post newspaper cited the conclusions of the US intelligence community, set out in the report, that there were no actions by “foreign adversaries”, including Russia, against Americans who were on business trips abroad.
This is the so-called “Havana Syndrome”. When Americans in Cuba experienced dizziness, nausea, headaches and hearing problems in 2016 and 2017. Later, the same symptoms were observed in American diplomats in China, Austria, African countries, Tajikistan and Russia.
“The mysterious ailment known as ‘Havana Syndrome’ was not the result of any foreign adversary,” the intelligence agency concluded.
In addition, the report notes that no evidence was found that foreign leaders, including Russian ones, knew anything or authorized attacks on American personnel.
