WP: The Pentagon itself uses Russian oil to circumvent sanctions

The headquarters of the US Department of Defense also uses Russian oil, despite the sanctions imposed. They told The Washington Post about this in their investigation.
According to the source, first the fuel is purchased from one of the Russian oil companies by a company from the United Arab Emirates, then it is transported to storage facilities in Turkey. The ownership of this oil then changes several times and it is mixed with other brands. The fuel later ends up at the Greek Motor Oil Hellas plant, which supports the US military.
Despite the fact that Motor Oil Hellas refused to accept such oil, some analysts believe that Russian oil can also be found in the fuel oil purchased by the Pentagon for ships and aircraft.
Sources cannot accurately name the volume of Russian fuel oil contained in products for the Pentagon.
