World wheelchair curling champion overcame the distance in Serpukhov

Vitaly Danilov conquered five kilometers at the “Five miles” race.
Vitaly Danilov on Saturday became one of the participants in the Five Mile races in Serpukhov, overcoming a distance of five kilometers in the city forest.
Vitaly is coming to Serpukhov for the second time and is a motivator for many athletes.
After suffering a spinal injury as a result of an accident in 2006, Vitaly went through a difficult path of recovery.
Now he has several dozen marathons and half marathons, skydiving, a victory at the World Wheelchair Curling Championship as part of the Russian team.
As Vitaly says, the main thing before any start is to train and go towards your goal. The whole training volume helps him not to worry and feel ready for the competition. Behind the athlete – 14 marathon distances and more than 30 half marathons.
Anton Batugin, head coach of the wheelchair curling team, led the athlete to the “5 versts” movement. Now Vitaly is an active sports tourist: he has been to 32 races in different cities of Russia.
