“With gas, we lived differently”: how they connect to gas in the Lipetsk region

Correspondents of “MK” talked with happy owners of gas in different settlements of the Lipetsk region under the program of aftergasification and share their opinion with readers.

74-year-old Leonid Fedorovich Pyrkov lives in the village of May Day on May Day street, 11 (the distance to the district and regional center is 20 km), he decided to become a participant in the after-gasification program in 2022.

He said that initially there was no need for gasification of the house. He and his wife lived in it from early spring until autumn. And if cool days came, they heated the stove and stove with wood, and sometimes they were heated with electricity.

“Here, of course, the forest is not far away. But no one will allow him to cut firewood just like that. Yes, and burning wood is not so easy. I stoked not only wood. He also fueled it with electricity. So it’s certainly not cheap. Yes, and you can’t just get firewood – you just can’t go into the forest, you can’t cut down any tree. So electricity had to be used.

When the ice became, we had to move over for the winter, because in winter it is very expensive to drown, ”complained Leonid Pyrkov.

But sometimes that wasn’t enough. After some time, the couple decided that they could live in this house in the winter. They decided that it was time to make this house, which was used as a dacha, where relatives and friends often came to barbecue, to make it permanent for living. Then he and his wife applied for inclusion in the gasification program. A gas pipeline was built in their area. That’s where they turned. They wrote an application, then collected the documents, and the project itself was already done in Lipetsk.

“It took a lot of time for documents, because there are standards for the project. First, a man from the Boringaz came and looked at the building. We expressed our wishes. He familiarized himself with the rules. Then we started working on design documents. To do this, you need documents on the right of ownership, on the plan of the house and so on. Then the contract for the project was already signed. After the release of the project, work began. Most of the documents were required at the last stage, before connecting the gas. You don’t remember everything … Papers for ventilation and so on, ”the pensioner said. Leonid Fedorovich also noted that there were difficulties with the actual connection to the gas pipeline – only here it is not the bureaucracy that is to blame, but the whims of nature.

“Not everything happened right away. I applied in the winter. First, documents were collected. Then they began to lay a trench for the gas pipe from the fence to the house. It was winter or closer to spring. Suddenly it began to rain and flooded my trench. The gas workers had to deal with this – to pump out the water. It was a big problem. But in the end, we won and did everything!” said the man. He added that the employees of the gas service worked responsibly.

“Good people. They came to the gas to connect both the boiler and the gas stove. They all told how to use it. Everything was checked. They said, “If you have questions, ask. We’ll tell you everything,” he said happily.

The pensioner is completely satisfied with how everything went and expresses his deep gratitude to those who initiated the gasification program. In his opinion, this is a very necessary and useful program.

“Once our village was called Commune. At one time it was a very rich collective farm, and then gradually everything fell into disrepair due to bad roads and lack of gas. And yes, it is a very famous place. Here once the Red Guard troops were stationed. And then everything fell apart. And now with gas we have begun to live differently,” said Leonid Fedorovich.

He also said that his neighbors also became participants in the gasification program. Blue fuel appeared in their house a year and a half ago. They were satisfied. The gas workers carried out their work quickly and efficiently. At the same time, the pensioner assured that no one has problems now.

In the Lipetsk region, there are measures of state support for residents for the additional gasification of residential households. Beneficiaries include large families, low-income and single citizens, combat veterans and their families, members of the SVO and their families, as well as citizens who are in volunteer formations. The amount of compensation is 130 thousand rubles.

The ex-military, widower, 76-year-old Nikolai Ivanovich Afanasiev, also brought gas to his house under this program. The man lives in the village of Studonye Khutora on Pushkin Street, 29.

“At first, my brother helped me make a stove where I could spend the night, with a stove bench. In 2011, there were specialists who made water heating. And in 2022, they decided to bring gas into the house. I went to Borino, where I stood in line. Didn’t stay long. August 26 began to draw up documents. The experts have arrived. We began to do the installation from the central gas pipe to the house. Then a system of verification, control, registration … On November 17, they connected me, ”the man shared.

The pensioner noted that the work of the employees of the local gas service was at a high level.

“The system works as it should. This is a responsible job. I have no comments on them. I appreciated the merits of gas. It’s like riding a bike and driving a car – there is a difference! More comfort,” said Nikolai Ivanovich.
